バンドゥン (Bandung)
先日、ジャカルタ（ガンビル駅）から、スンダ人の都バンドゥンまで、鉄道を利用して行ってきました。
I traveled from Jakarta (Gambir Station) to Bandung, which is Sundanese city, by train.
所要時間は、約3時間半です。
It takes about 3 and a half hours.
電車の名前は「アルゴ・パラヒャガン号」で、インドネシアでは珍しく時刻通りに出発します。そのため、絶対に、出発時刻前に電車に乗らないといけません。
The train’s name is “Argo Parahyangan” and it leaves on time although Indonesian trains basically does not run on schedule. So we must board the train before the departure time.
車窓からは、のんびりとした風景が望めました。
I can see rural scenery through the train window.
途中、棚田もありました。
There are terraced rice-fields on the way.
バンドゥン駅 (Bandung Station)
まず、アジアアフリカ会議が開催された建物を訪れました。
Firstly, I visited the building where Asia Africa Conference took place.
アジア・アフリカ会議は、第二次世界大戦後に欧米諸国の植民地支配から独立したアジア・アフリカ諸国が、基本的人権の尊重などを含むバンドゥン10原則を宣言したことで有名ですね。
It is known that the Asia and Africa Countries, which became independent of the Western Countries’ colonial rules after WWⅡ, declared the ten principles of Bandung including “Respect for fundamental human rights” etc. in Asia Africa Conference.
現在は、博物館として保存されています。
It is currently preserved as the museum.
アジアアフリカ通りは、歩道が整備されていました。インドネシアでは、珍しいです。
Asia Afriaka Street is equipped with pathway. It is rare in Indonesia.

バンドゥンの北部の公園内には、旧日本軍が掘った基地がありました。
There is a military base dug by ex-Japanese force in the park located in the north area of Bandung.
さらに、６ｋｍほど奥に綺麗な滝があり、一人150,000 Rupiah (約1350円)払えばバイクで連れて行ってくれるという話があったのですが、異常に高かったので断りました。
There is a beautiful water fall, and the distance is approximately 6 km from the base. Motor Bike drivers offered us the price of 150,000 Rupiah (about 1350 yen) per person to take there, however we rejected the offer because it was too expensive.
その後、しばらく歩いていると、後ろから別のバイクのお兄ちゃんが追いかけてきて、二人で100,000Rupiah （約900円）に値下げするというので、滝に行ってみることにしました。
After that, we walked for a short while. The other motor bike driver caught up with us and offered the discount, 100,000 Rupiah (about 900 yen) per two persons. So we decided to visit the water fall.
バイク３人乗りでオフロードを進んでいたのですが、意外に早くつきました。
We, three persons, rode a motor bike and run the off-road. Unexpectedly, we were able to arrive at a water fall early.
なんか変だな～と思いながら滝を探したのですが、ありません。
I looked for the water fall while feeling something strange, but there was not the water fall.
「まさか」と思って、吊り橋の下にある溝を指しながら「これが滝？」と聞くと、「そうだ。」と言われました。
I thought ,”Not really”.
But I pointed at the ditch under the suspension bridge and asked him, “This is a water fall, isn’t this?”.
He answered, “Yes!!”.
これがその滝、いや溝です。
This is the water fall, or a ditch.
綺麗な大きな滝は、更に１０分ほどのところにあり、100,000 Rupiahの追加料金で行ってくれるとのことです。
According to him, we could go to the beautiful and big water fall which we expected by 10 minutes ride, and it takes 100,000 Rupiah as an additional fare.
先ほどまで、インドネシアでは値段に見合ったモノやサービスを提供してくるので、お金の使い甲斐があるという話をしていたのですが、まさにそれが当てはまりました。
Before we rode the motor bike, we were talking about the value of money in Indonesia. In short, it is worth to use much money in Indonesia because they provide the products and/or services equivalent to the prices. It was true in this case.
若干、騙された気になりましたが、この調子で行くと幾らかかるか分からないので、本当の滝は諦めて帰りました。
I felt a bit that we were swindled by him. We gave up to go to the real water fall because we did not know how much we had to pay him to visit there.
気を取り直して、タンクバン・プラフに行きました。
We pulled ourselves together and visited Tangkuban Perahu.
急に霧が出てきて、辺り一面見えなくなったりしました。
Suddenly wrapped in a dense fog, and we became not to see all around.
長袖でも、結構涼しかったです。
I felt cool although I wore a long shirt.
チアトルの温泉は、楽しめました。
I enjoyed hot spring in Ciater.
やはり温泉は、いいですね。
I love hot springs.
